Hello and welcome to my shop.

I've always loved making things and worked as a Graphic Designer for over twenty years. Nowadays I experiment with fabric, paints, embroidery, beads and collage. I particularly enjoy combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, unique mixed media pieces.

An uplifting little gift for a friend. This pretty bag charm and tag was inspired by lines from an Emily Dickinson poem "Hope is the thing with feathers..."

The bag charm has glass beads in tones to match the tag and a large semi-precious Picture Jasper bead. I've also used a tiny silver-tone bird and large feather charm.

One side of the tag has been decorated with a section from a vintage playing card with a Chinese brush painting of a finch and blossom. The reverse has a paper colour printout of the words from the poem.

The items will be sent by Royal Mail, second class large letter.
