Shell pearls are manufactured by shaping oyster shell, this is then coated, dyed and polished to produce a beautiful and very high quality man made shell pearl.
Shell pearls are considered to be the best quality replicas you can get, as they are made out of the same materials as natural and cultured pearls.
These ones have a lovely, delicate, pale lilac colour and a beautiful sheen.
Pearl is the birthstone for Gemini and the month of June, and the stone for a 30th anniversary.
As a symbol of purity, honesty and wisdom, it is also a favourite for bridal jewellery.
