Shell pearls are manufactured by shaping oyster shell, this is then coated, dyed and polished to produce a beautiful and very high quality man made shell pearl.
Shell pearls are considered to be the best quality replicas you can get, as they are made out of the same materials as natural and cultured pearls.
These ones have a lovely, delicate, pale lilac colour and a beautiful sheen.
Pearl is the birthstone for Gemini and the month of June, and the stone for a 30th anniversary.

Elegant necklace of shell pearls, larvikite beads and Swarovski crystals in subtle, pastel hues of lavender and grey.
The 6mm lavender shell beads have a lovely, delicate hue and a beautiful sheen.
They are punctuated with silver-grey 6mm larvikite rounds and trios of sparkling Swarovski bicones - a 6mm bead in the colour "silver shade" flanked on either side by 4mm "light amethyst" bicones.
Silver hematite beads add extra shine.
The necklace then graduates to 4mm Czech glass "dusky mauve" pearls and 4mm larvikite beads.
The piece is finished with a pretty, rose-shaped, Tibetan style silver toggle clasp. This is nickel and lead free.
This necklace measures approximately 20.5 inches (52cm).
Presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
