Dainty Amazonite and sterling silver earrings with 10mm Abalone shell squares.
The Abalone shell squares flash iridescent colours of green, blue, pink and white when they catch the light.
Each earring is topped with a 4mm Amazonite round and a pair of 3mm AAA grade faceted Amazonite beads, separated with tiny sterling silver spacers.
A further faceted Amazonite bead and sterling silver spacer sits below the shell.
The last two pictures shows the two sides of the Abalone squares, which can be turned so your preferred side is visible.
Abalone is a type of mollusc found all over the world. The inside of the shell is layered with nacre (mother of pearl) in beautiful, iridescent colours. The shell is very thick and strong, and makes beautiful beads for use in jewellery making.
Valued in many ancient cultures, Abalone is thought to bring mental clarity, serenity, strength and wisdom.
The Amazonite beads have a lovely, rich blue-green colour.
The ancient Egyptians prized Amazonite, and placed jewellery and carved ornaments made of Amazonite in the tombs of the dead.
It was one of the stones used to inlay the golden mask of Tutankhamun.
It is regarded as a stone of hope, balancing emotions and soothing stress.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a gorgeous gift for a birthday, anniversary or bridesmaid or as a treat for yourself.
These earrings measures approximately 1.35 inches (3.5cm), excluding the ear-wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in an organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within mainland UK.
