All my cards are now available as single items.
All my drawings and prints are original hand made items and not reproduced as giclee prints.
I enjoy the challenge of making a black & white print work well. A lino cut is made by carving out shapes on a block, with cutting tools. To make it work as a whole, the bits that are cut out, which form the white spaces, have to work as cohesively as the black areas. Positive & negative space.
The inspirations for the print were a series of drawings made whilst walking in the woods at Loggerheads country park in North Wales. This is a wooded gorge cut between limestone cliffs, with old mine workings & walkways making for interesting shapes & textures.
