The inspiration for these has come from many years of sketchbook drawings of wildlife and animals. I have done many drawings of hares and wanted to make something that would give the movement and fluidity of these mystical creatures. I have also recently been looking at folk and medieval art, and wanted to incorporate these into my work.

Full description
Decorative ceramic hanging wall plaque in the shape of a leaping hare. Made from a terracotta clay it has a leaf inspired relief pattern that is highlighted with black and white decorating slips. The plaque is hung from cotton cord. Each one is cut out and decorated by hand.
