Out on a winter walk a few days before I made this, I noticed how lovely the umbellifer seed heads are. I planned to make a piece of jewellery based on them and this is a first attempt. I was going to try to oilder wire into a free seed head but I chickened out and fused it to copper instead. Maybe I will one day.

Full description
A disc shaped pendant in copper with four lengths of sterling silver wire fused to it in the shape of a winter seed head, I melted the ends of the wire into blobs and hammered them to look lik something like cow parsley, or one of the other umbellifers you find in hedges around here.
I'm very pleased with how well this has worked, even the one that melted a little more than I planned works well as it sends it to the back of the plant. Usually when I plan one of these pieces they do their own thing completely.
The copper disc is about 3cm across, 29mm actually, and it is hung by a copper jump ring from a torc of silver wire which is 1mm in diameter. The wire is long enought to hang just below the collar bone on me. Fastened by two hooks formed at each end of the wire.
