Full description
This is a 12 page PDF knitting pattern with instructions for three sizes of baby blanket.
Small 45cm x 60cm (18" x 24"); medium 60cm x 75cm (24" x 30"); large 75cm x 75cm (30" x 30").
The pattern is written as charts and written instructions. There are 6 one shade squares featuring techniques such as cabling and twisted stitches and 6 "picture" squares. You will need to be able to do intarsia and stranded knitting to knit these. The squares are knitted from bottom to top in strips then sewn together vertically. The edging is knitted separately then sewn on to the blanket. I usually back the small size blanket with quilting, there are instructions for how to do this in the pattern.
Materials required: 1 pair 3.25mm knitting needles, a cable needle.
Quilting if required.
Rowan Cotton glace 100% cotton. Tension 23sts x 30 rows over 10cm square using 3.25mm needles.
There are 10 shades required for this pattern, some in small amounts. The pattern lists the amounts you need for each size.
You can purchase a knitting kit for the small, medium or large size blanket in my Folksy shop. This provides you with all the yarn you need to knit and sew up the blanket of your choice. The quilting for the small blanket is also available to purchase in my Folksy shop.
