This throw design is the first in a collection of throws based on the seasons. I was inspired by the beautiful shades of yarn produced by Cambrian Mountains Wool, located in Wales like me, so I decided to start with Autumn.

Full description
This is a 9 page PDF knitting PATTERN for a knee throw measuring 102cm x 102cm (40in x 40in) when completed. The pattern is written as colour charts over 6 pages and written instructions using standard UK knitting terminology. The throw is constructed in two pieces and joined together by one seam. The edging is picked up and knitted down each side and the corners sewn together. You will need to be able to do intarsia and stranded knitting to make the throw.
Materials required: one pair 4mm knitting needles, one 3.75mm circular needle 80cm long.
Yarn: Cambrian Mountains Wool DK: Tension 19sts and 28 rows to a 10cm square
5 x 50g Welsh red (rusty red); 5 x 50g Mineral (Yellow); 4 x 50g Gwymon (Green); Ironstone (Orange) 1 x 50g; Cegin (Light grey) 10g; Shale (Charcoal) 15g; Bright red (not Cambrian Mountains Wool) 5g in a similar weight yarn.
A similar weight yarn could be used that knits to the same tension.
