Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass.
Sometimes tiny gas bubbles, mineral crystals and rock debris are trapped within the lava as it cools, and these cause reflecting light to give a metallic sheen,
This sheen gives "gold-sheen", "silver-sheen" or "rainbow" obsidian.
Obsidian is an alternative birthstone for Scorpio and the month of November.
I have used Swarovski crystals in topaz and light topaz to represent the traditional birthstone.

Full description
Subtle and classy with a pretty sparkle.
Each earring, from base to top, is made from beads of 6mm gold-sheen obsidian, 4mm golden hematite, 5mm oval hematite, Swarovski crystal in the colour "topaz", 4mm hematite, Swarovski crystal in the colours "light topaz" and 3mm hematite barrel.
The ear-wires are made of gold vermeil.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the wires are stamped "925".
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.5 inches (3.5cm) excluding the wire.
Delivery is free within the UK.
Presented in a small organza bag.
