Walking through Devonshire woodland is a favourite, magical autumn activity.
Wood lace agate, also called petrified wood, is the name given to the fossilised remains of vegetation.
It is created by mineral rich waters flowing through buried vegetation, depositing minerals that gradually replace the decaying cellulose, ultimately creating a 3-D cast of the original organic material.
It is the provincial stone of Alberta, in Canada and the state stone of Washington, USA.

Full description
An autumn themed necklace in browns, greens, oranges and reds.
This necklace features a 18mm x 13mm teardrop of green aventurine.
The "autumn woodland" colours come from beads of 6mm and 4mm wood lace agate, red agate, orange carnelian, peach and green aventurine.
I have added Swarovski crystals in the colours "fire opal", "topaz" and "light topaz" to suggest the flash of sunlight on the leaves.
The piece is finished with a gold filled trigger clasp.
This necklace measures approximately 18 inches (46cm).
Delivery is free within the UK.
Presented in a small organza bag.
