Opal is the traditional birthstone for October and Libra.
Here I have used nuggets of pink opal.
Pink opal is a variety of common opal, composed of opal, palygorskite and chalcedony.
The opal gives a soft lustre, palygorskite gives the pink colour and chalcedony adds patterns of white, grey and black.
I have used beads of rose quartz to represent Venus, Libra's planetary ruler.
Shell beads add contrast and glints of mother of pearl.
Bronzite chips give texture and definition.

Full description
Pink opal stones are separated by rough dagger-shaped pieces of polished bronzite.
Rose quartz 6mm beads graduate to smaller shell and rose quartz rounds, separated by discs of bronzite.
The piece is finished with a gold filled trigger clasp.
This necklace measures approximately 18 inches (46cm).
Delivery is free within the UK.
Presented in a small organza bag.
