The Green man's story is tangled and twisted in folklore and legend, from Gawain, to Jack of the Green. Often found in churches, it is believed he bridged paganism and Christianity. He is often thought of as a keeper of the woods and forests.

Full description
A beautiful wood burned decoration for the home reading featuring the Green Man. Ive used oak and maple leaf designs for his face and included toadstools for his nose. This oval hanging wood slice plaque is hand burned using pyrography and the coloured using art pencils.
-Hand burned, and posted from the Staffordshire Moorlands, UK
-Natural wood slice, with bark intact.
-Measures: 25cm by 7cm approx.
-Measures about 1cm thick.
-Hung with two eyelets.
All my creations are my own design and composition. Each piece is unique. Please note, wood is a natural material and each piece has it's own knots and imperfections that make it beautiful. I seal the wood with varnish to help protect it, but it will weather overtime.
To care for your piece; keep out of damp conditions and direct sunlight.
I post once a week, using my local post office. Please keep this in mind when ordering. Postage within the UK only.
