This series of Landscape pieces are inspired from my local coastline, which is home to an RSPB site, one of two Nature Reserves in the Falkirk area.
This landscape looks over and includes a suggestion of the tower still remaining at Longannet power station, the Inner Forth having many layers of history, combined with nature and historical heritage, providing a home to many animal life and birds,such as migrant and wintering Wild Fowl, Shelduck, Pink Footed Geese and Waders.The changing seasons and light quality, makes this a stunning location at any time of the year.
This low relief, ceramic landscape is ready to hang immediately, bringing a bit of nature into your home.

Full description
This Ceramic, low relief landscape, has been created by applying layers of coloured slip, which must go on while the clay is still wet.
When leather hard, the image is then built up by scratching, stamping and pressing various textures through the top surface to reveal the clay underneath.
After a first firing, the landscapes are then worked into with various oxides and coloured under glazes, to create moody, cloudy skies, grasses, plants and skylines.
The near completed picture is then dipped into a clear glaze, before a second kiln firing, giving the finished art works a glossy finish.
This ceramic art work is 5.5 cm square and approx 1 cm thick, mounted onto up cycled wood, which has been painted and varnished.
The landscape is fully signed on the front and reverse, and ready to hang immediately.
