This listing is for a little patisserie style individual carrot cake created by Lily Lily Handmade. This needle felted carrot cake is cute as it is as a collectible or for use as a pin cushion but can also be purchased as a keyring. Felt cakes look lovely displayed on a plate or with a number of other cakes on an elegant cake stand or tray (see photo for example). Needle felting is the art of creating sculptures using wool fibre and a barbed needle. The needle is poked into the wool fibre to agitate the fibres which then bind to form a firm shape, a process that can take hours. The colours of the cake are created by blending different wool fibres by hand to create realistic colours.
The individual carrot cake measures approximately 3.5cm in diameter and 3cm high. The cake will be supplied in a cellophane bag. The silver cake board is not included.
This felt cake is a collectable, decoration or photo prop and not suitable for small children due to it’s small size.
