Full description
This 20cm x 20cm white box frame houses a unique fused glass wild meadow scene created entirely from glass. First glass was hand crushed to frit and powder. The powder was used to first create the flowers which were fired separately. Then powder was sifted over a 10cm clear glass base. Glass stringers were shaped by hand using the heat of a candle flame to create the grass which was placed on top of the powdered base. Frit was sprinkled around the grass and then the flowers and ladybird were placed. The piece was slowly fired to 740 degrees Celsius to tac fuse the piece together. The scene was then mounted and placed into the 20cm square white wooden box frame to hang or stand freely.
