Full description
Beach huts cushion with sea pinks. A rectangular cushion in cream fabric with blue voile sea, three appliqué beach huts and hand-embroidered sea pinks. The lower section of the cushion is covered with blue voile to represent the sea. I've added some wide pale blue ric-rac trim along the top edge of the voile as a calm wave lapping on the beach. The beach huts are made from a variety of fabrics in plain white, pale pink with white polka dots and white with grey stripes. They each have a hessian roof with a natural wood long heart shaped button at the apex. The doors are made from a variety of fabrics, one of which is golden beige and the other two pale pink. I've added a tiny white button door handle to each door. Between the huts are clumps of sea pinks, also known as sea thrift or armeria, which I've hand embroidered with pale green stems and pale pink french knots for the flowers. The cover has a concealed zip along the bottom and comes with a polyester hollow fibre cushion pad which conforms to all safety regulations.
This delightful beach huts cushion shows a tranquil coastal scene and would be the perfect accessory for a beach hut or summer house. It would make an ideal gift for anyone who loves beach huts.

18 inches (46cm) wide x 12 inches (30cm) high.
