My mother, a small, cheese-loving woman with a growing collection of mouse dolls supports my felt dyeing habit by growing the odd dye plant on her allotment and surprising me with packets of dried flowers for the dye pot.
This design very much had her in mind - a mouse that would sit up and show its sweet curious nature. At the same time, I was looking to make something that really showed off the special nature of my naturally dyed and speckled felt.

This mouse is full of curiosity, it would sit happily with a collection of other small creatures or be a lovely addition to a cheese and crackers hamper. It could top a cake or be a delightful thank you or Mother’s Day gift. I can imagine leaving one behind in a corner as a surprise. A mouse can be for any occasion!
A mouse companion made from soft naturally dyed wool felt. Made to an original design, it has been cut out and stitched carefully by hand using organic cotton thread and filled with organic UK wool fleece.
Each mouse I make is unique in its patterning and, due to my process of natural dyeing, cannot be replicated. This makes each one as individual as the person who will receive it.
This is not a toy due to the fine detail. It is crafted for grown-ups and older children (and definitely not cats!) who will look after it with care.
Size - approx. height 8cm, nose to tail 12cm
Due to the cost of this item being more than £20 postage includes a signature service to ensure its safe arrival.
If you are interested in more than one of my items I combine postage wherever I can and refund the difference if more has been charged.
