Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.
* I endeavour to represent my pieces as clearly and with colours as true to life as possible, however some slight variations in tone between the image on screen and the piece itself may occur.*
I love the idea of my work being used as the starting point for someone else's bespoke decoration, with their own embellishments and personalisation. I would be really interested to see some of the finished pieces!

This kit contains everything you need (minus scissors) to create your own gorgeous fairy hoop decoration.
The box contains –
FAIRY – a digitally printed version of my original hand-stitched piece, printed onto cotton drill
CALICO – natural, unbleached base fabric, measuring approx. 24cm x 24cm
7'' EMBROIDERY HOOP – to display your finished piece
NEEDLE
SEQUINS, BUTTONS, BEADS AND POMPOMS – in a mixture of colours
BELLS – for feet
RIBBON – for legs and for hanging your finished piece or to use for additional embellishment
STITCH EXAMPLE SHEET
THREAD – approx. 4m in total of 4 Anchor Pearle Cotton colours
and a couple of pins too.
With the minimum of written instructions to follow, do use the picture on the box as inspiration, but feel free to go with the flow when creating your piece!
The kit contains plenty of thread, sequins, beads etc, but you may wish to add additional embellishments of your own – ribbon, fabric scraps, letter stamps...
The box measures approx. 23cm x 23cm x 5cm
The ribbon pieces for the legs vary in colour from kit to kit, with the thread colours chosen to complement the ribbon.
