Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

Full description
This print is a re-worked version of one of my earlier linos which itself was inspired by a series of photos. Sketches followed, with my final image transferred onto lino which I then hand cut and burnished onto a lovely, fine Japanese Hosho Select paper. The paper is off – white in colour and measures approx. 21cm x 26cm with the printed image itself measuring approx. 15cm x 20cm.
Each of this open ended edition is printed in a dark grey oil based ink, the colour suited to the rather sketchy nature of the print, and is signed and dated 2021.
Having been printed by hand, slight variations from print to print will occur; such is the beauty of a unique, hand crafted piece.
Your print will be posted to you in a bio-degradable cello with a back board, ready to present as is or to frame with the mount and surround of your choosing.
