INTERNATIONAL POST - I'm in the process of updating postage for the US and have temporarily removed it from my listings whilst I recalculate the prices to include the new taxes and handling fees which have to be paid prior to my items entering the US. If you are based in the US and wish to purchase something please send me a message and I will happily send you a quote and add the postage and charges back on to the item.

Polly, a hand embroidered collectable keepsake doll, handmade cloth doll from Bearlescent
Meet Polly, a nostalgic cloth doll decorated with hand embroidery.
Polly is approx 12.5" tall, she is a traditionally styled cloth doll, handmade from natural doll velour fabric which I soaked in tea to give an aged effect. Her head was made from natural silk noil.
Polly is the first of my new style embroidered dolls. Beautiful floral embroidery adorns one lower leg, one arm and her face, hand sewn in pale peaches, pinks and naturals.
Polly is full of detail, her facial features were hand sewn in black and her tousled hair made from alpaca boucle yarn, each strand being individually sewn to her scalp.
Polly wears a cotton khaki coloured dress with tiny buttons to the sleeves and a white cotton lace underskirt attached underneath.
Her knee length pantaloons were made from cream broderie anglais fabric.
Embroidered wool felt shoes in camoflauge green and a simple shawl made from soft hand dyed silk fabric, finIshed with two tiny buttons.
She has a matching tie to her hair and a paper rose coloured with watercolour pencils finishes the front.
Polly wears a wooden heart name tag and has a primitive style heart, embroidered onto cloudy pink wool felt.
Polly took many hours to complete and would make a lovely heirloom gift, she was a learning curve for future period style dolls.
She is an a adult collectable and not suitable for children under 14.
