A friend gave me this bright and breezy table runner found at Wiggington car boot near York. I love the graphic illustrations featuring this sweet couple in their regional dress, and their positive hearts!

What a sweet little make up bag or purse, in this bold folk art style print. Once upon a time it was running down the centre of a large table, maybe somewhere in Scandinavia? but it had seen better days. I have managed to find enough fragments printed with hearts and a happy couple, to make into these little practical bags. It would make a great Valentines Day present, for someone who likes Folk art or Scandi style.
The purse is stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag.
The width is 17 cm, the height is 15 cm and there is a dark brown 17 cm zip opening.
The back is made from recycled blue denim, and the lining is a bold patterned cotton batic print.
There is a finger hook so you can hang it up somewhere to brighten the view, and it is finished off with my embroidered name tag.
It likes a cool, gentle wash, and to be hung on the line to dry. There are some natural slubs in the weave of this fabric, and the pattern placement will vary a little from bag to bag.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
