Full description
Ceramic Square in white stoneware clay with Storm blue underglaze and glaze.
Perfect as a safe place to keep jewellery and other small items, or as a decorative object in its own right. A circle of clay, with my maker's mark, is fused to the underside so that the dish sits nicely.
The high shine of the patterned glaze area contrasts with the matt surface of the velvet underglaze.
Approximate dimensions: length 7 cm, width 7 cm, height 2 cm.
Once the piece is dry, it is fired first to 1000 degrees C. Separate layers of underglaze and glaze are then painted on before it is fired for the second time, to 1200 degrees C, making it strong and durable. All underglazes and glazes are lead-free and non-toxic.
Made with care and attention to detail. Because everything is made and glazed by hand, each item is unique.
