These beautiful handmade beads are very labour-intensive and have great value. By buying them, you are helping to support people in Ghanaian villages and to keep a centuries-old tradition going.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
Beads similar to these have been made in West Africa for centuries and were once used as currency. These two have been made from recycled glass, probably old bottles coloured with ground down seed beeds, hence the bright colours. The earrings have been finished with lime green disk beadsand yellow short tube beads, all from Ghana.
Condition: These beads are new, but they are all slightly different from each other. I have tried to match them for size and colour but they may well be slightly wonky or cut on the slant. Being hand made in small village workshops with only basic tools, they do not have the perfect finish of machine made beads. This, to me, adds to their value and charm.
Presentation: Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue paper and sent in a presentation bag ready to give to someone special (or to keep for yourself ). They will travel in a mailing box for protection.
Gifts: I can send to another address and include a handwritten message if requested.
Postage: I can usually post within 24 hours and postage is free.
Environment: All of my outer packaging is either recycled or reusable.
