Hello! I am a freelance illustrator who sells archival quality Art prints, greeting cards, wrapping paper, wall calendars and original pieces. My work is created using a mixture of chalk pastel, pencil and coloured pencil.
I used coloured pencils, pencil and chalk pastel to create this surreal and meaningful illustration - "Mother of us All".
Limited edition of 200
Signed, titled and numbered, with a white border
Paper size is 420 x 297mm
Printed using a high quality 8-colour photo and fine-art printer using archival quality Vivera pigment inks, onto artist quality 230gsm matt paper.
The print can be personalised - I can add "To..." - just let me know!
Throughout human time and in numerous ancient cultures, cows have symbolised the maternal instinct, plenty, sustenance and the productive power of the Earth. In my illustration the cow is synonymous with the Earth or 'Gaia'. I've made her a canvas for the environment in which she resides as I believe that surreal elements can help to express a sense of a beings inner life and connectedness.
