A friend found this wonderful tea towel for me at Wiggington car boot. It has such a bright and breezy feel with its idealised scene of rural life and wonderful Folk costumes. It brought a smile to my face! A matching one is also available in my shop right now.

Full description
This make up bag, pouch or purse is made from a colourful vintage tea towel, all the way from Austria. It shows a happy Ruritanian scene of two women wearing bright Tyrolean regional costume, one with a rosy cheeked baby swaddled in her arms! This idyllic scene has a mid century feel to the design, and is scattered with birds and flowers. It would make a lovely gift for someone interested in costume or national dress, with mid century design, or perhaps for a new farmer!
The fabric has first been backed with cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag.
It measures 16 cm x 16 cm with a navy 16 cm zip opening.
The lining is a green and gold patterned vintage cotton, and the back is made from recycled blue denim.
There is a little hook so you can hang it up and dream of the country, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to recycle. Your bag will be posted out using clean recycled wrapping from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
