I love this print, and had been racking my brains to remove the damaged pieces, and use the remainder creatively. I love the way the two plates fit into the base, and the lining. They were once the centre piece of what was a tired and battered table runner. Here’s to this bag in its new life.

Full description
An unusual cutlery print, featuring knives, forks, spoons and a plate or two, wraps around this drawstring bag. Made from a vintage table runner I found at York car boot, it’s a perfect drawstring bag for small amounts of laundry or clothes storage. This quirky print has been designed to give a handprinted look, and I have incorporated two plates into the base of the bag and its lining! This would make a great present for an aspiring chef, as a going to Uni present, or for anyone with a cutlery fetish!
The print has been backed with cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft bag.
It is 43 cm tall, and 38 cm wide. There is a circular base with a diameter of 78 cm which has been stitched onto canvas. This base, and the base of the lining feature a round plate design.
It is fully lined with an Ikea striped fabric remnant from my new curtains! and I have made the ties from the striped rufflette trim from some vintage Habitat bedlinen. The ties hang down approx 50 cm on either side when the bag is drawn up.
It is finished off with my own embroidered name label.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail signed for 2nd class.
