I used to collect items to sell at local vintage fairs in York. Alas, at the moment these are not going ahead, so I am looking through my hoard to make some pieces into pretty and practical gifts. This 1950’s napkin from Paris is just the ticket.There are matching Le Sacre Coeur and Arc de Triomphe lavender bags also in my shop right now.

Oooh La La. I like to think that this sweet vintage napkin, with its 1950’s feel and whimsical Eiffel Tower, was a souvenir from a weekend in Paris. It was perfect for making into little matching lavender bags. Lovely lavender, the eco friendly way to help you sleep, scent your clothes and drive away nasty moths. Pop this French fancy in a drawer to make your clothes smell extra fresh. Inside is nestling a little muslin bag of dried Yorkshire lavender from Terrington. This would make a lovely housewarming gift, a present for a vintage fan, or for anyone needing a virtual hug right now.
The bag measures 12 cm by 10 cm with a muslin bag inside of dried Yorkshire lavender.
The back is made from a section of a white cotton vintage embroiderie anglaise tablecloth, with its pierced design allowing the scent to waft freely.
There is a hook so you can hang it up and dream of Paris in the Spring or hook it over a clothes hanger, and it is finished with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse if I can. Your bag will be posted out to you wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
