I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). Full description
These colourful cufflinks feature oval cabochons of rare Dagenham fordite which is bezel set in sterling silver. They are finished off with sterling silver swivel backs to make them easy to use. The fordite is stripy with a broad flash of mid blue across the middle flanked by red, white, navy and silver bands, they are a not quite matching pair. These unusual cufflinks would make a great gift for any man who loves his cars (especially if he has a soft spot for cortinas or escorts).
Fordite is layers of cured car paint which builds up in the spray booths getting baked hard in between each colour, careful cutting allows the bands of colour to be revealed. The unique colour palette in this particular material is classic for the fordite harvested from the car production lines at Ford's plant in Dagenham in the early 1980's. As painting techniques changed the amount of fordite formed has changed and it is becoming harder to source and vintage material like this is very hard to get.
