There is a large colony of Sparrows living in the old hedges that surround the gardens where I stay.It's enjoyable watching them hop in and out of the hedge and feeding their young in the Spring.
It's also a pleasing shape to make with the clay.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
Each Sparrow is handcrafted by myself, modeled in solid clay.
Marks are then made with tools and my fingers to give the impression of wings and feathers.
After careful drying and a first firing, various stoneware glazes are painted on giving each one a unique and individual finish before being placed back into the kiln for a second firing.
This Male Sparrow is attached to a wooden stick treated with linseed oil that can be cut to any length required, has a satin like finish and has been fired to a high frost proof temperature making it suitable for outside and indoors.
The Sparrow itself is 4 cm high, 8 cm in length and 4 cm in width.
