A beautifully crafted handmade macramé handbag with large bamboo handle, in a soft brown colour.
An intricate pattern of interlocking crosses covers the bag, giving it a much more open design.
There is a flap that folds over from the back to fasten at the front using a homemade button. The bee design on the button has been burned into the wood using pyrography and then polished with natural bees wax.
This bag is part of a collection of Bee themed handbags. It has a double lining with the inner one being the characteristic bee cloth from Quarry Bank National Trust. The outer lining is beige and can be glimpsed through the design of the bag.
A thin piece if plastic has been laid between the linings and the base of the bag to add durability and four studs have been attached to the bottom to help protect the bag from the ground.

Overall height is 36cm
Height of the body if the bag is 21cm
Width at the top is 21cm widening to 26cm at the bottom
Depth of base is 6cm

The bag has been made with Everlasto 100% cotton and the colour is actually called apricot but I would say it was more butterscotch.
This handbag will compliment many outfits and is the perfect summer bag.

I make all of my creations using my own designs.

ALL PARCELS ARE SENT IN PLASTIC FREE PACKAGING.

My inspiration came from a visit to Quarry Bank National Trust where they have a working cotton mill. The staff made the cloth on the looms in the factory which can the be purchased in the shop. I loved the design of the bee and the fact that it was spun into thread which was then woven into cloth all on the heritage looms. It's like taking a little bit of history home.
