Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.
Thank you for visiting me at Folksy.

I love finding old sewing patterns. They take me back to a time when whole rooms were put aside in grand department stores, simply for browsing through enormous sewing pattern books. This one has a particularly sweet illustration on the front, which could be framed and put on a workroom wall.

Full description

How wonderful is this lovely old sewing pattern published by Woman's Weekly in the 1970’s. It is ready to be made up into dolls and toys from hobby horses to an owl in the style of a gonk! The pattern is in a good unused state, and tho the envelope is a little bit creased, it's still in pretty good shape for an item getting on for 50 years old! The illustration on the front is charming, and so in period with its flower sprigged dresses and Brownie uniform.

This is a project for someone who knows the basics of sewing. The instructions are all enclosed, but they go into less detail than other commercial patterns. To help you make a decision, you can view them in my 10 descriptive photos.

Such a lovely project, or teaching aid. The characters to make are;

Dressing up doll

Minature dolly

Owl

Unicorn hobby horse

Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Friar Tuck

Teddy bear

Have fun!

I like to reuse if possible. Your pattern will be posted out in clean, recycled wrapping, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
