One of the best things about lovely old vintage sewing patterns is the period fashion illustrations on the envelope front. They look fab put in old frames and hung up on the wall in groups. I find them so full of social history, particularly when they have been signed in biro, or stamped with the name of a now defunct, but once grand, department store.

Full description
A lovely vintage sewing pattern for that classic, the full skirted sun dress, a romantic style which has come to sum up the word vintage. This original pattern has been used, but all the pattern pieces and instructions are intact. The envelope is a little crumpled but not torn, and comes with this fab illustration on the front.( I particularly like the graph provided for you to embroider that huge patch pocket!) This Simplicity pattern doesn't have a date, but I think it is early 1960’s, tho possibly very late 1950’s. However, it does have a faint stamp bearing the legend "The Fashion Corner, Rochdale!" This would make a lovely present for a vintage lover, fashion student or dressmaker.
The size is for a slim Bust 34 inch Waist 26 inch Hips 36 inch
The description calls it a sleeveless dress with fitted bodice and gathered skirt and a lined jacket with kimono style sleeves.
I love to reuse. Your pattern will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging from my stash, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
