One of the copper and silver pieces that I make which are fairly random, I simply lay silver wire or silver pieces onto the copper and play a blow torch over it until it melts and fuses to the copper, there is very little control over how the silver melts. The enamel is added later and again, it's not easy to control and doesn't always work as well as it might. I like the randomness of these pieces it's always a surprise to see what the results are.

Full description
A heart shaped copper pendant with silver fused to it's surface and red enamel added afterwards. The pendant hangs from a fine, red cotton cord which is adjustable for length. The pendant itself measures 5cm at it's longest and 3cm at it's widest.
The enamel is quite thick and uneven, because it is fired on a surface that is not flat to begin with.
A unique piece of jewellery, when the melted silver is put into an enamelling kiln it produces granulation effect, tiny balls of silver on the surface, a sphere is the easiest shape for a material to form when melted.
Lots of other colours appear among the red and silver, the copper surface produces, greens and some blues from copper oxidising and reacting to heat.
The method used to produce these pendants is quite unpredictable, the silver melts as it will and I don't really have much control over it, I quite like these random results.
