Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again.

As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.

I am still a sucker for the crinoline lady, especially ones like these. Sweet, nostalgic, and unsophisticated, this one may have been stitched by a child. We will never know, and this only adds to their charm.

Full description
This sweet lady tending her roses, was once a tired and worn vintage tablecloth. With some tlc she has come back to life as a practical and pretty pouch, with which to store your make up, coins or keepsakes. You can hang her up somewhere special by her little finger loop, and admire the work of this unknown embroiderer. It would make a great present for a lover of vintage, a bride to be, or someone who just loves to dress up.
I have backed the embroidery onto canvas, but it is still soft.
The back is made from a pair of recycled blue denim Levis to give her some strength and edge.
This bag measures 20 cm by 18 cm.
There is a purple zip opening measuring 20 cm.
There is a finger hook to the top corner, and a scattering of buttons.
The lining is a pink and purple fabric from York car boot, and the bag is finished off with my embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse if possible. Your bag will arrive wrapped in clean, reused packaging from my hoard of old books and papers.
It will be posted out as royal Mail 2nd class.
