Full description
This lovely little dunlin has been hand carved and then painted with artists acrylics. It has hand tinted glass eyes and is mounted on a beautiful grey/mauve oyster shell from Exmouth beach.
The bird is finished with wax giving a soft shine. It is13.5cm tall, 6.5cm deep and 16cm from beak to tail overall.
As with all my birds, no power tools are used apart from cutting the initial shape with a band saw.
