I have made so many things from this fabulous old tablecloth, given to me by a friend in York. It has a Folk Art feel to it with its dense cross stitched roses and reminds me of old regional costumes. This practical little bag can be used for storage, but it would love an evening out at a summer party.

Full description
A sweet bouquet of embroidered roses covers the front of this pretty make up or storage bag. Made from the corner of a once forlorn vintage tablecloth, it has scrubbed up nicely to become something useful and decorative once again.
With its mother of pearl buttons and old world charm, it would make a lovely gift for a bride, or for someone who loves vintage fabrics. It would also look great as an occasions clutch bag at a wedding or summer party.
The tablecloth has been backed onto canvas to give it some strength, but it is still soft. The back is made from recycled blue denim to give it some edge.
It has a dusty blue zip opening of 20 cm across the width, and a flower head pull. The bag length measures 15 cm.
There is a tuck at each end giving it a base 3 cm wide.
There is a cluster of 5 mother of pearl buttons on the front with some corners of lace.
There is also a useful little finger hook, so you can hang it up at home and admire the stitchery.
The lining is a beige and purple floral Japanese cotton, and the bag is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to recycle if I can. Your bag will be posted out using clean, reused packaging from my stash of papers and card. It will be posted out Royal Mail 2nd class which takes about 3 days.
