Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

Full description
The front of this little heart brooch is a natural colour hessian.
It is embellished with small buttons and seed beads in whites, creams and a single baby blue button.
It is backed with a lovely eucalyptus green wool felt, the two sides neatly hand-stitched together in an oatmeal coloured thread.
Stitched to the reverse is a silver coloured brooch bar.
The brooch measures approx. 6cm across at its widest point and approx. 5cm from top to bottom.
