Full description
This jewellery set comprises of a sterling silver and ruby in fuchsite pendant along with a co-ordinating beaded necklace of fuchsite, rubies and amazonite. Ruby in fuchsite reminds me of spring blossom as it has pinky red ruby crystals randomly scattered within the minty green fuchsite matrix and I think this theme is enhanced by the wavey leaf shape of the pendant. The beaded necklace is made from more fuchsite beads (some with tiny spots of ruby crystals), amazonite rounds and faceted ruby beads, the generous bail on the pendant slips over the beads meaning that the necklace can be worn on its own or the pendant could be worn on a chain, torque or ribbon (not supplied but if you would like me to source these for you then drop me a message). The beads are individually rosary linked on sterling silver wire to give the necklace drape and it is finished with a sterling silver clasp and extender chain. The pendant is smoothly bezel set in sterling silver and bears my makers mark, the open back setting means that if you accidentally put it on backwards it doesn't matter (the pattern of rubies is slightly different on the front and back).
Rubies are associated with the 40th wedding anniversary and this would be the perfect way to mark the occasion (especially if she also has her birthday in July as ruby is July's birthstone). The beaded necklace measures approx 18 inches plus 2 inch extender, pendant drop is about 1 3/4 inches including the bail. Comes in a sleek black box.
