Part of a series of pieces made using a blowtorch to fuse silver wire to copper shapes. The copper shapes are bought pre-cut and I mostly use pure or fine silver as it melts more easily. The technique is quite unpredictable as the silver will not always melt as expected, sometimes fusing really easily and others refusing to adhere at all or spreading in a liquid pool. This one has worked quite well leaving recognisable pieces of wire but fusing them well to the surface. The third image shows the piece immediately after cleaning.
