This is one of my new copper and silver pieces which I'm really enjoying making. Using a blowtorch is always fun and the slightly unexpected results that sometimes occur are fascinating. I'm learning to control how the silver melts a bit more, although sometimes it can be very stubborn and refuse to do what I want.

Full description
A copper heart shaped pendant with silver fused on to it's surface. The silver is melted to the copper surface with a blowtorch. The plume effect is a scrap of heavy silver wire applied on a loose curve while the 'flower' is either a wire spiral or a piece of scrap silver, I can't remember exactly.
The heart is approximately 5cms (2") at it's longest dimension and 3cms (1.25") wide.
The pendant is suspended from a copper jump ring on a natural cotton cord, the cord is adjustable so it can be worn at any length and slips over the head without any fiddly fasteners.
After the pendant has had the silver fused to it it is cleaned to remove the firestain, I then dome it a little to add interest to the shape then re heat it gently to give an interesting patina and polish it.
