A customer of mine kindly sent me an invitation to a remnant sale in a fabulous interior design shop in York. This was one of the beautiful remnants I got that day. This cushion felt too special for the usual zip or envelope fastening, so I made it into a labour of love, by designing this button hole front opening.

Checked woollen cushion with 3 vintage button opening and feather pad.
A lovely plaid wool cushion of beautiful quality, with a three button hole opening down the front right hand side. Decorated with some large vintage buttons from the stash in my tin. This versatile cushion will fit in anywhere, from a vintage sitting room, to a cool Scandi look bedroom.
The wool has first been stitched onto cotton sheeting to strengthen it.
The same wool fabric has been used for front and back.
There is an overlapped opening off centre down the front.
This is closed by three buttons with button holes.
The three buttons are large vintage ones in complementary colours. One is pale blue, and two dark brown. Each measures 3 cm across.
It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
This cushion cover comes complete with a 16 inch by 16 inch (40 cm by 40 cm) plump duck feather pad - although the actual cushion size is about 15 inch by 15 inch, (38 cm by 38 cm) to make sure that the cover is nice and tight around the pad.

Gentle spot cleaning with warm water and mild detergent will work for light dirt, but for more serious stuff, I would recommend specialist dry cleaning.
I like to reuse where possible. Your cushion will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be posted out as signed for 2nd class Royal Mail, and will therefore require a signature.
