"Goodnewsfrombad" is all about recovery, hope and transforming old stories (particularly difficult bad news stories) into new ones.
Newspapers may seem black & white and full of bad news but hand spinning the paper into yarn reveals hidden colours and the words are given new life. Good news from bad, new stories from old ones - why not make this little piece of good news from bad, a piece of your story now?
Any colour in the yarn has come from the ink in the newspaper - I don't add colours!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

A pack of five christmas cards - mini minimalist recycled red-nosed Rudolph-the-reindeer (go on say it out loud!)
These cost £2.75 each so you can save a few pennies by buying in packs!
The little Rudolph's recycled red nose is made from handspun red newspaper yarn.

Each card is individually hand crafted (so may differ a little from the photos) from handspun newspaper yarn and recycled card and is hand-signed by the artist. Size: A6 with kraft brown recycled envelope and sent in a compostable corn-starch wrapper.
The newspaper yarn I make is carefully handspun from hand cut, thin strips of newspaper. I have tried spindles/shredders, but I find that using my fingers helps keep the yarn fine as possible as well as allowing me more control over the colours and textures produced.
I also think there is something important about knowing the newspaper has physically passed through the hands of the maker, which transforms the bad news stories and makes them a part of your stories as you send them to your friends and family.
I also love making art from your stories, so do get in touch if you would like a commissioned piece to hang on your wall, perhaps even made from newspaper from a special day.
