This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A duck, a Mallard almost certainly - or at least my own interpretation of one.
I am especially pleased with the lovely iridescent turquoise glass I have used for its back as its rippled texture looks like feathers. The head is cut from purple iridescent glass.
The duck is sitting on a pool of blue water streaked with green and looks absolutely gorgeous hanging in the window and catching the light which makes it lovely colours shimmer.
It would make a really special present.
The duck hangs by a lilttle silvery chain from a little ring which is securely soldered to the duck’s back. It is 11.5cm wide and 9cm high.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and/or textures of glass.
I have included a 5th photo of the duck I sold previously so you can see that, though made to the same pattern, each is unique.
My sister has a duck collection so I designed this for her and liked it so much I added it to my catalogue.
Please note : POSTAL CHARGES : . I always part-refund postage via Paypal where more than one piece is ordered to allow for combined postal charge. I do this as soon as I receive your order.
