I designed and made this for a very simple reason. I was inspired by a phone call from my granddaughter Izzy asking if, when she comes to visit, Granddad Bob will help her build a model lighthouse for her school project. Brilliant idea and if they can make a lighthouse then so can I.
Postage on this piece is set for first class signed for to cover Royal Mail insurance value.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. One of my very own designs and I think it is quite stunning and very special.
It is a 'picture' of a lighthouse beaming its light out across the sea.
The white and red striped lighthouse has a little blue door and stands on a grassy headland overlooking and protecting the turquoise waters below.
The picture is framed in clear glass with a pretty texture and then with a strengthening border of twisted wire.
This is beautifully bright, simple and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It is 15cm wide by 18cm high and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
