A hand knitted ladies coat hanger with ditsy summer flowers all in a row.
I have knitted the body of this coat hanger in a cream coloured yarn, starting with a knitted lacy scallop edging.
The front and back are knitted the same, with a row of green and a row of lilac flower stitch 'flowers'.
Some flowers have embroidered stalks and leaves. One flower on the front also has an embroidered pale yellow centre.
There is a pale green handmade cord tied at the base of the metal hook.
The wooden base is wrapped in wadding to give a generously padded hanger.
A perfect addition to your wardrobe, a beautiful hanger for your new summer outfit.
I found an old photograph of my Grandpas garden, everything planted in exact straight lines, short summer bedding flowers at the front, taller blooms to the rear. All neat and tidy, everything under control.
I wanted to knit a row of summer bedding, a front row show stopper, Ageratum Houstonianum. Fluffy lilac blue blooms on a mound of fresh green leaves.
My Grandpa won 'best front garden', I think this coat hanger is a fitting tribute to his green fingered talents.
