I make jewellery using all sorts of materials and let them do the talking! My inspiration for this piece comes from the materials themselves demanding that they be put together!
This necklace has fabric from a favourite brightly coloured Summer dress which I have shortened. I kept the piece I cut off as I never throw such things away. The ribbon is from a top I still own but felt that it didn't need such detail as it has gold threads in it and it looked too busy! The necklace also has colours I love putting together, as well as beads and threads I really enjoy. Such pieces for me come together with a little hard work, lots of trying out different strands and some nimble fingers, but the end result is a necklace containing a few of my favourite things I hope someone else will own as theirs.
