These chunky sterling silver, minimalist stud earrings are an asymmetrical freeform trapezoid shape and feature five natural grey rough diamond crystals apiece. I have used a silversmithing technique called reticulation to melt the surface of the thick silver sheet into naturalistic waves that mimic the texture of natural rock crystals and so providing a perfect foil for the diamonds, which themselves are just as they have grown under the earth. Reticulation is a random process, producing different results every time, so each pair of these earrings is unique in the world. Curling fine silver wire is soldered to the surface as a mount for the blue grey diamonds, completing the primitive feel of this piece. When seen In the flesh they are very dynamic sparkling beads and I have done my best to capture this intense glitter in my photographs. These diamonds have come from a trusted source and are guaranteed conflict free by my supplier. Each earring measures 13 mm or 1/2" at the longest point by 13 mm or 1/2" at the widest point, has a stud and butterfly fastening and is packaged in it's own gift box. The final photograph shows a vintage lipstick case measuring 3" (not included) next to the earrings for scale Diamond is the birthstone for April.
These earrings are stylishly presented in a black gift box tied with a bow.
