I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions. If I don't have shipping to your country set up please drop me a message as it might be possible.

Full description
These 8mm round sterling silver stud earrings feature multi colour cabochons of sparkly fordite. What's fordite? Its the name that has been given to accumulated over spray paint that built up in the old spray booths at car plants - in this case the Chevrolet plant in Bowling Green where they made corvettes - so these earrings are perfect for anyone who loves their cars (especially american muscle cars). As each car was sprayed a new layer of colour would be added giving this material its distinctive multi layer, multi colour pattern, about 1000 layers make an inch of fordite. Due to changes in how cars are painted this material is becoming harder to get as it is no longer formed (its already been described as rarer than diamonds!). I cut and polished the cabochons myself, they are approximately 8mm round and have a high dome top to best show off the patterns and colours (mostly reds and oranges, with some blue, black, yellow and white in there). The cabochons are bezel set and then finished off with sterling silver posts and scrolls.
