The front of the pad is made using striped needlepoint and the back is my own print on cotton sateen of a peacock. This has then had a grey crochet trim added and three crochet balls attached in green, blue and pink in one corner, The pad is attached with a silk ribbon to the scissor handle. It will be easy to identify your scissors and find them easily with this scissor keeper. The size of the square is 4.5cms(1.75 inches) without the trim. The bird scissors are also included in the purchase. This would make a lovely gift for a craft mad friend or for yourself.

The colours and crochet balls are taken from my stylised peacock designs. The peacock design is taken from 1960s peacock ceramics.
